I unironically find BFA fascinating because it's full of really good ideas, artistically, and it's clearly intended to be the bigger and better Legion 2. Two continents, two huge capitals, the most new races ever, several faction campaigns, several expansion-release-level cinematics, multiple huge expensive features (Expeditions, Warfronts)...
then all of it was ruined by dissertation-worthy levels of developer arrogance, developer incompetence, and a genuinely horrible narrative tying it all together

They had it all and pissed it away for years, then doubled down on Shadowlands and successfully assassinated 16-odd years of IP interest. It's incredible
