I also found it interesting how protestantism is often portrayed here as a germanic break from Rome, but many fascist/natsoc leaders (Hitler, Goebbels, Himmler, Mussolini, Miguel Serrano) were raised in Catholic families and later broke from the religion and were anti clerical. Perhaps its because they are used to a culture that values order, but believe the Catholic is unable to fill that role, while protestants are taught to be suspicious of any kind of centralized order, which also causes the problem of hyper individualism and atomization.
