That's retarded. He doesn't promise us anything on Earth. He says we're going to suffer on Earth. That doesn't just mean we might suffer from persecution. No, we might also suffer because our bodies are mortal and frail. Prayer certainly isn't going to hurt anything, but He usually doesn't respond to that kind of request. Most of the time, He prefers that the world follow the rules of physics and chemistry and biology that He instituted.
