You're being too logical for any Christian to respond. It's so silly to reason with them because their (the ones I know) entire philosophy is "blindly obey the Bible." Obviously they don't listen to everything in the scriptures. If they did, they'd spit on the Israeli flag (Rev 2:9 and 3:9). Don't disregard the Bible entirely, but beware those who try to use it to control your life. Weird incest, massive collective punishment, slavery, murder, and animal sacrifice are promoted in the scriptures (my opinion). Ask Christians about this stuff and they'll give you a word salad.
