It's a pricing not interest issue. People won't pay $300 for the worst seat in the stadium and >$1500 for a main tribune ticket for Botafogo vs Al Hilala and fans won't travel facing a $20k trip to see glorified friendlies in the post season.
Price it like Wyman Euro and I guarantee full stadiums and a good vibe.

The EC Orga did something right, tickets for 25CHF including a entire day of free public transport. I won't see a game but I will abuse the tickets to travel around.
