TheOverseer! Hear me well, ye scurvy dog! I am the captain now! If you wish to return, drop some lore, but the ship must sail on.
Though the sight of an open sky is strange & unnatural to you, the clouds filtered the glare of actual sunlight so that you were not all blinded upon emerging. (>-1 Perception for all Party Members during Clear Daylight until your eyes adjust or you acquire Protective Eyewear)
Even unfamilar as you all are though, enough knowledge from scientific education & the reports of scouts long before your party's emergence make clear that the ominous shades above you mean imminent danger. If those clouds break & let loose a torrent as you understand they likely will, your raft could be capsized in a surprise high tide.
You see a sunken battleship. At least, it appears to be, until Kain squints & gives a second opinion. "Looks like a normal vessel from before the war, no weapons on the deck. In fact, I see a hole in the side we might be able to drift into for cover from the storm." Deliberation is short considering the urgent situation, so you all begin rowing with the makeshift oars provided: pool cues, tennis/badmitten rackets, with baking sheets attached as backing over the mesh.
