on one hand, 20th century art/artists worked very hard to destroy notions like "intentionality" and "meaning", making fully automated, randomized robo art the apotheosis of that (andy warhol would be an AI artist if he were alive today)
on the other hand i don't know why i should "care" unless it was made by a human trying to communicate something, not a robot that exchanges cultural signs (another fascination of the people who wanted to kill art in the 20th century). i cannot see the result as anything but stagnation being sold as revolution
