From the Biblical perspective, Satan is the prince of lies. He does not care if anyone says 'hail satan', only that they are drawn away from God. A true place of satanic worship, in that sense, is very unlikely to be a black building covered in pentagrams with a statue of baphomet on the lawn; rather, it's far more likely to look like a church.
>How do we identify the satanic?
This is tricky because the nature of the satanic is both deception and temptation; absolute certainty is never guaranteed. The devil himself quotes scripture in order to tempt Jesus in the wilderness.
A heretical thing is not necessarily satanic in nature. Nor a blasphemous thing. Nor an atheistic thing. But there are certain identifiers which can point us specifically to the satanic:
>Inversion of Christ's Teaching
This is biggest identifier. Not a rejection. Not a replacement. A complete inversion. Remember that.
>Resemblance to religious practice as forbidden in scripture (Lev 18:21)
>Similarity to Biblical warning (Thes 2:3-12, John 2:18-22, John 7)
These are just a few, but they're the big ones. Moving on to the Death Tape.

This is the audio recording of the ritual/massacre itself, it's about 45 minutes of audio which includes Jim Jones' final sermon.

Expanding on this there. Looking through this audio/transcript through a potentially satanic lens is fascinating. Denial of Christ's teachings isn't necessarily satanic. But, worse than that is the inversion of Christ's teachings. Intentional or not, it happens a lot here.
Jim Jones quotes scripture only once. It happens during his opening sermon at 1:15 in the audio. He quotes John 10:18.
>It was said by the greatest of prophets, from time immemorial, “No man takes my life from me, I lay my life down.”
Now, in this context he is using it to justify mass suicide. He also attributes it prophets, though they're the words of Jesus preaching to the Pharisees. Jesus tells them he has the authority to lay down his life for the sake of his followers specifically because of God's divinity.
>The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.
>The Jews who heard these words were again divided. Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”
>But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
Jesus says his Father gave him authority to lay down his life and take it up again. Jones, in a complete inversion, uses his authority to tell his congregation to lay down their lives along with him. He even claims title of the father, many of his followers are calling him dad.
