just wanted to ask about 'doras. after the 4chan hack i heard some guy remark that soiquoting was similar to 'dora posting, and that soispeak (omitting the first letters of a given word, i.e 'log instead of catalog) was also derived from this. any truth to this? whilst soiquoting is known to be from about 2019~ from /tv/, specifically it was forced by one autist called "chad" who raided /tv/ from early 2019 to sometime in 2020, it's not impossible that that guy had seen it here.
also wanted to ask if picrel was a "duel" (i.e, the first person put an arrow, then an opponent put another arrow thereby depicting the person quoting as a fedora wearer), or if it was something else altogether.
and finally if you know of any other specific quoting phenomenons like this that don't include soijaks or 'doras?
any answers from people from /brit/ back in 2017~ would be appreciated. thanks.
