back when I first started playing I made up this policy to pick a random champ on free-ro every week and spam them till I got a feel for it (despite not even knowing the basic of the game at all yet even kek). velkoz happened to be my random pick of the week once. "the fuck is this purple spaghetti monster?" I thought curiously. like always, I shat the bed with the new champ quite a few games- I'm talking full curbstomped, faceplant shit eating the pavement stomped. but with my arbitraty policy in place I stuck to my guns despite the frustration
then it happened. I got my first solo kill. wow, that was so satisfying! it felt like I genuinely outplayed my laner with a perfectly fair and straightforward and honest champ. that was pretty fun! it felt rewarding and satisfying. so even after the trial week ended I found myself locking him a couple more times rather than moving onto the next free-ro champ. I started falling in love his his kit. his design. his voicelines. everything about him was so fucking cool- a flying spaghetti monster alien that is quite curious and intellectual and deals true damage. he became my favorite mage. I've been there with him through thick or thin ever since
