Gonna be real with you, in retrospect Double Dash is better than Wii.
>Items barely spin you out so you don't get ruined because you got hit by 1 red shell

>The tracks are every bit the equal of the new tracks on Wii, though Wii still has 16 retro tracks that, while not as good, add to the replayability
>Battle Mode on Double Dash is WAY better than the Wii
>Double character gimmick is way better than bikes which ended up dominating the 'meta'
>Better item play since the new items in Wii were dogshit (especially the thunder cloud) and there were character-specific items that made character choice matter

The only thing that Wii had over Double Dash was online play, but that doesn't matter now that the servers are down.
