Oh believe me I know they wouldn't. All I'm saying is that a good Banjo game:
A) Would have (and did) sell like shit during the 2000s
B) Could sell *okay* now, but only about as well as or less than Astro Bot at the same quality. I'm not even super focused on Banjo as a franchise anyways it's more of just an example of what my actual point is.

I guess what I'm really more meaning to imply is that there's an advantage in releasing various kinds of titles as a big console manufacturer. since for example, Nintendo games are family friendly and appealing to children as well as adults, they have accessible entry points into their ecosystem which Xbox doesn't have outside of Minecraft which eclipses their entire gaming brand on its own anyways. Their previous strategy of going after people who aged out of those types of games and wanted hardcore games was always a ticking timebomb despite how good they are, and the Kinect wasn't able to diffuse the bomb because anyone spending considerable amounts of time with that shit probably isn't a games enthusiast and can't be turned into one either.

The Xbox brand needed to make up for lost time, but chose not to and failed to predict the future like 5 unique times.
