Grim, no wonder crime is so high. Do we know how different the 20th century went? When does the timeline diverge, and did they errode work reforms or did they never happen in the first place? Also are the Soviets more like irl China in that they are pseudo-capitalist or do they actually have worker rights (with the usual extreme poverty of centrally planned economnies)?
