I've grown tobacco before. It was a massive pain to sprout them, but if you tend them properly they are beautiful plants. You then have to cure it. It is a fair bit of work, but the results are hard to beat.

Remember temperature and humidity control are super important for curing. Also the technique varies by type. I only grew about a 4 foot by 12 foot plot and had about 20 pounds of different types of leaf when it was harvested.
