My schools never had a military recruiter. They had some other people do speeches though. Like the scared 'em straight talk from the ex convict. That guy got a little too explicit for a junior high audience. There was talk of prison rape. I believe he framed it in what sounded like a made up story about a prison riot. Something about how the general population got access to the pedophiles in protective custody and "fucked them up the ass with a broomstick". That's a direct quote. It was so out of the blue in an otherwise boring lecture I never forgot it.
