The only thing the Grey Knights have that the Custodes don't is the literal genetic material of the Emperor as their basis. They are also seemingly entirely incorruptible to Chaos. With ALL of their members possessing a connection to the Warp them pulling a Mass Ritual Suicide like the Shamans that allegedly did so to birth the Emperor makes a lot more sense than them teleporting into the Throne room for fisticuffs.
I'm fairly certain the Draigo snub was a small hint to this as he might be the central beacon within the warp for the Grey Knight protoEmperor Shaman(not Starchild) to rebirth throughed were this particular interpretation of the Terminus Decree to be enacted.

Those aren't power cells because they're different between the two models of weapons possible to mount. The extruding bits on Tau weaponry arent power cells, they're probably closer to expansion chambers during firing, while the weapon is powered off the suit reactor. You can't just pick up a dismounted Tau suit weapon and hipfire it.
