Well, KoDP is a "cult classic", which means it badly flopped and then gained a small, loyal following. Six Ages games probably weren't all that succesful either. Gameplay is definitely not something that most people would enjoy. I think it's too original for its own good, management strategy players, CYOA players and VN players all expect and want something different.
