I played Dragon Age Origins last year and that chaotic mess of tab targeting real time with pause MMO gameplay was complete ass. It's really aged quite badly compared to a more classic turn based system. RPG elements are nice, sure. Dialogue choices are nice, sure. Seemed like Mage is completely busted compared to everyone else. The encounter design was downright horrible. Combat is a slog. Despite the lore/world building and some of the quests being seemingly pretty good if you like woke and Satanic writing, "muh blood muh sacrifice muh murder", it straight up looks and plays badly.

So I stopped playing Dragon Age Origins for it's shitty and boring gameplay. I actually was able to complete Dragon Age The Veilguard because it was fun to play. I really don't care how much better everyone thinks the story/lore/characters are in other Dragon Age games. I'm 100% sure that they really are. But I honestly don't care. Those games are ugly as shit and they aren't fun. I couldn't play Inquisition either, for this same problem. The gameplay simply isn't fun.
