the mind is not an inner property, the mind is a subject to wordly influences because it is a processing unit, its also a s subject to physics. Both of these things are outward

by an inner drive i am not talking about your organs, neurons and blood, but about your spirit.

the flesh and the spirit live at odds with each others.
to be subservient to the one is death, to be subservient to the other is life.

if consider your inner world to be the total sum of the ongoing biological processes., then your faith was never given to God, you had faith in the flesh and the ego, both of which are subjects to death

however if you are led by the spirit and you and you place your faith on it, then you live beoynd the flesh and your body becomes a sacrifice, an offering to the something which is beoynd the flesh, the ego and the self. You become one with God, of the same body with everyone else.
in such a case your loaylty, your commitment and your inner drive are not your own, but part of the greater collective.

The mind and the ego become an obstacle in that case, that must be overcame and reshaped in an image of the universal truth. Because your loaylty is not to the self, but to the truth.
