Something in your childhood made you feel like you were not enough. A sense of abandonment. You are good looking, and have good qualities. It's the self-sabotage when things are going really good, you feel the need to 'mess things up' to test people to come back for you.

You want someone to 'rescue' you and to prove that they would never leave. This can render things toxic. I highly recommend that you seek to understand this part of yourself.

I think, you did it out of a need of desperation in the moment. It was for survival and without ill intention/malice.
Just put them behind you.
If guilt still eats you up, pray to a guardian angel to help with moving on, and forgiving yourself, or do something to 'pay it forward' by helping someone who needs help.
