Personally speaking I found "Focus Mode" not to be as big of a deal as others did.
It's literally gen5 gunning, do it doesn't matter for ranged.

for melee it depends on the weapon, like with Lance, GL, SnS, DB it's not really changing much about how I play. IG has to keep it on for the bug but outside that it's inconsequential since Wilds IG is a Blender.
It's actively detrimental with Hammer because outside of Focus you can release charge turning on a time, mea while Focus has to aim to turn.

IMO it's literally just a feature shitposters picked out to shitpost about. If it wasn't there it could've just as easily been tents and cooking or whatever
