Makes me wonder how much people got into Dragon Ball cause ''it was popular on the Internet'' rather than being hooked with it as a story, cause from an outsider view I fail to see Super appealing as a starting point for kids considering how all the lore and character dynamics which the show relies on is established in much older shows. Even in Japan they are facing the problem of Dragon Ball struggling to compete with modern mainstream anime or One Piece, while the loyal fanbase is aging out despite attempts like Kai, Super and Daima to find new kids.
