Brighton transfer target Diego Coppola has undergone a medical ahead of his expected move from Serie A club Hellas Verona.

The 21-year-old centre-back is expected to join on a five-year-contract.

Sky Sports News understands the fee is around £9m (€11m).

The deal has yet to be fully completed.

Coppola made his debut for Italy in their 3-0 defeat by Norway and is now playing for Italy Under-21s in the European Championship in Slovakia.
