Most certainly;
>Iyo's dominion is that of the Okranites, the experimental breakaway civilization from the Second Empire
>The undesirables were cast out onto the peripheral remnant empire. The Scorchlander-kin, unlike their Shek cousins, managed to salvage the situation beyond expectations.
>The Machnists and Tech Hunters are formed to manage the dual realities of humanity split amongst two major states. The holy rollers already associate technology with evil - collect up the most useful tech, filter it through obfuscation mill but make sure weaponry has no trouble cycling into the economy.
>More recently, the Traders Guild emerged and managed to overthrow the old imperial edifice, throwing out the status quo of peace between the Okranite isolationists and the surprisingly enterprising successor empire.
>The Guild, the noticers they are, have lured their Okranites from their isolation in an attempt to finally break the stranglehold the regressive zealots have been handed over the last really worthwhile piece of real estate on the island.
The Skeletons not a part of Cat-Lon's regime had a vastly understated role in laying the groundwork for the states we see nowadays. To the point they outwardly supported the Phoenix establishing a splinter state. Much like the mistakes of the past the Holy Nation has run its course. It's doing so right before our eyes. If the replacement civilization doesn't sweep the river valley clean and "re"claim it for humanity, everyone's fucked.
And (You), the player, are the primary facilitator of ensuring that doesn't happen. Quick question, just curious:
