The reason why Total Drama’s artstyle sucks is because it’s stiff as shit. Motion tweening isn’t a bad thing, it can be expressive, like there are tons of flash-animated thickline shows that manage to capture the appeal that traditional ones like Dexter’s Lab and Powerpuff Girls had, with posing and expressive animation and all that, but Total Drama lacks that kind of stuff, it’s why autistic fan animations and fetish art capture the style of the show so perfectly, cause the shows style sucks.
