the problem is that real life lifts are completely different from gym style deadlifts. in the real world you dont lift bars, dragging them over your shins and knees to protect your spine. when you lift furniture or a washing machine or a fridge its usually further away your body and you have to lift it from the ground and not almsot knee level, so you need an even stronger back, deeper squat and strong front delts and a biceps that can stay isometric carrying a heavy load for at least 30 seconds.
if you lift an object in real life youre also suppoed to carry it somewhere and lower it slowly to the ground again, not drop it with force.
