I personally don't care much about response time sub 10ms to be honest with you but I don't really play fighting games so it never affected me.
I'm just so annoyed right now trying to find a replacement digging through TVs and displays and it's slowly starting to piss me off. All this spreadsheet comparing. I'm 38 so I unfortunately grew up in an environment where shit was made to last so I'm really averse to planed obsolescence. This is the third time I'm replacing a "perfectly good" tv because of this backlight bullshit and it's starting to wear on me. And I can't just get any ol' OLED because I don't work a 9 to 5, so my standard usage isn't 4-5 hours a day evenly spread out across the week. I work a 12 hour nights with rotating shifts so I go in cycles of 3 work days, 2 off days, 2 work days, 3 off days. So when I use my PC it's pretty spartan 2-3 day runs of like 10 hours gaming, 10 hours browsing the web, even when I sleep on off days I have videos playing and shit in the background. I'm basically kryptonite to OLEDs and it's making it hard as fuck to find a decent TV.

>you fell for the lcds last forever meme
I literally never heard of that meme, and this is like the third TV I've gone through with phosphor wearing off on the LEDs so I definitely don't believe they last forever. But I think tech shouldn't be this fucking disposable.

>55" try to get samsung open box deals, if the coating is damaged you can just wet paper method peel it off
I've gone through like a dozen samsungs and LGs and they all had horrible ghosting and dead pixel issues, I don't really have any confidence in my
