That's bullshit. Dedicated parade units like the honor guard are way too small for an actual full scale parade.
Most parades worldwide consist of regular units selected for the parade as a point of honor (and also a moderately big pain in the ass, but bitching about things is just the natural state of being for boots).
After being selected, they drill regularly until the event, on top of their regular duties. It's not very hard to make people above 80 IQ lock step correctly after a couple of days. Their bodies should remember from basic.
This event was planned a long time in advance for the Army's 250th birthday, there is absolutely no excuse for the ragtag performance on display.
You guys are literally the world's 1st military with no one even coming close, I legitimately can't comprehend why it looked the way it did unless someone actively tried to sabotage the whole thing just to get a cheap dunk on the current admin.
