Complete, utter BULLSHIT.
I briefly considered opening a owner-operated cafe, just me, some furniture and basic equipment, about as small as you can possibly go.
Would have cost roughly 20.000$ in initial set-up, an ungodly amount of paperwork, and would most likely have paid below minimum wage after rent, all the taxes, lincenses and sepcial insurance. A complete pipedream.

Maybe it's better in the US, but I have my doubts.
