im getting some use of this practice from bhikkhu anālyo’s ‘deepening insight’. basically, whenever something is catching you emotionally or exciting you in an inappropriate things you can visualize bubbles swelling and popping. ultimately the flux of world events are much like bubbles that come and go. when i see something stupid i think “what does anything this person has to see mean in the face of extinction”. it helps me look more at the bigger picture better. with that said i really need to get better at managing energetic excesses. praying to hidweh sometimes helps, like asking her to use these energies for whatever ends she has in store. i personally need to get better at being able to contain energetic excesses

with all these ice magick practices, ones comes to realize the imperfection of things. from this realization, ones changes their priorities to be more about steering and planning around things more than necessarily seeking some perfect execution every time. this realization of imperfection sort of makes me think about the learning of the 4 noble truths in buddhism. it is something sobering for sure but it can also be empowering
