ANY shooter game that doesn't have sandbox elements or isn't built from the ground up with scripting and customization in mind is gonna die a horrible death within a couple of months of its release.

Epic knew this and took TF2's example of custom game modes and letting players make their own maps. Any FPS that relies solely on its shooting gameplay and competitive shit dies within 2 months. Zoomers want the TF2 era of gaming back, custom game modes, custom maps, custom skins, all that shit. This is why the biggest games on the market right now are sandbox games (roblox, minecraft, fortnite).
