Soviet era "chokolate" is absolute SHITE.
I once had a bite, and I still remember how awful it tasted. Like, Actually feel in my mouth how bad it was. It was like someone takins sawdust and old motor oil and making "chokolate" out of it. Granted, I was probably spoiled by being raised in Finland with some ACTUAL CHOKOLATE, so I could not appreciate the russian variety. (yes, I have been to Soviet union and Russia after it all fell. It was shit, and it sucked.)

I am sure it is an acquired taste that if that's what you had as a kid, you kinda still miss, if for nothing else than nostalgia. But it's still shit.
Just... just DO NOT try to eat soviet-recipe "chokolate. Just don't. You will regret it.
