I love this motherfucker like you wouldn't believe. He might seem like a swordie, but his whole gimmick of "sweetspot at the hilt" means he plays more like a rushdown character.

>4th highest air speed in the game, giving him good combo and edgeguarding potential
>jab props opponents up and has a lot of combo potential
>Bair is a fantastic edgeguarding tool and combos off jab
>Nair combos into itself and into Fair/up air
>the reversed late hit of up air can hit grounded opponents and lead into juggles
>at low %, up throw can lead into up air juggles and down throw can lead into Nair chains
>down tilt is a safe shield poke and leads to tech chases at mid %
>F-tilt, down smash and F-smash all come out insanely quickly and kill deceptively early, making them great tools for reads/baiting-and-punishing
>grounded up-B gives him super armour and is a decent out of shield option
>down air is a slow but powerful meteor that is incredibly satisfying to land
>max strength neutral-B takes 4.5 seconds to charge, does 72% to enemies and 12% self damage, breaks shields, and kills any character at 0% on all legal stages (very impractical but incredibly hype)
His only flaws are his short jump, shitty recovery, lack of range (you risk hitting sourspots and doing fuckall to your opponent if you try to poke), having no projectile, and having nothing in his kit to deal with zoners and projectile spam. That aside, Roy really is our boy. He's a hard-hitting rushdown fast-faller with an insanely good bait-and-punish game, solid aerial combos and great edgeguarding capability.
