I did. From the player character's perspective, the most immediate worry is not staving off ceremorphosis, but whether indulging in tadpole use might lead to a loss of the self down the line. I think there's still a narrator line from EA that alludes to this. This concern is echoed by Lae'zel (obviously), Shadowheart, Karlach, or really any companion with some common sense who is not desperate for power (so basically everyone but Astarion).
