Another one that was pointed out a few weeks ago is Gero's technology vs Frieza's. When Frieza returns, he claims to be stronger than ever thanks to the mechanical enhancements he got, only for him to lose to Trunks, and then Trunks warns everyone of the androids, who are the real danger. All of this is introducing the idea that Frieza's army has the technology to make cyborgs who make someone as powerful as Frieza even more powerful, only for Trunks to come around indirectly declare that Gero's technology is even more dangerous...
