The bird can't do shit unless they're massively ahead, which is hard to do when they have slow cards often under par for stats.
Lapis is for winning the games where you aren't ahead, but find a "free" turn around 8ish.

Seriously, retard plays big bird, it hits face... then it dies for ~2pp and everything the bird ignore goes face for 10 AND the opponent has another 7-8pp of plays that turn.
The bird is unironically worse than Lapis. You have to play the bird into an already empty board to then hit face without dying on the backswing.
While you evo trade Lapis over then seize the tempo in 2 turns. Lapis gets a kill and Storms 2 turns later.
Bird gets no kill, it's a win-more card.
