Ehh I thought the series looked plain ugly. Majority of the weapons and armor were absolutely hideous, nothing looks good and most of the environments looked the same, nothing really distinguished between alien and human everything shared that ugly white plastic paneling. Maybe it's my bias from Halo speaking but I always thought mass effect was really ugly, especially the weapons they all look like shitty nerf toys.
