I think the problem comes from this really weird instance to not address the world itself. I got to this point in the game and wondered how did Mechonis and Uraya react to being forced together? I got to the Urayan Mines today and no one is here. It's empty. This game is being carried almost entirely on the main cast and they do not have enough charisma to carry a whole game on their own. I don't understand, 2 was an improvement on 1 in making most of the cast members relevant to the adventure they were on. These characters should have WAY more to say given this is the 3rd entry in the series and all of them are invested due to being enemies of the world.
