Actually good and it carried the game, not the other way around. The video game was a massive scam that wasn't what it was promised to be and bought a lot of reviewers and press to lie about the game.
The Studio that made the anime stood their ground on what they wanted the anime causing it to actually be good, save the game's sales. By now the game is actually good although it still isn't what it was promised to be and still lacks some of the mechanics shown in press and early builds.
