action rpgs are games where you make set builds and grow your character like an rpg, aka souls-likes or nioh-like games, many have started going for the "pseudo hack n slash" formula that was born from nioh and bloodborne but still don't truly count as pure cuhrayzee, where the only building and leveling up there is are what weapons you bring to the mission and buying upgrades to your moveset
