granted, I didn't have much time to log into genchink and wuwa recently, too many gachas, I'll have to drop some because besides work and chores I don't do anything besides doing dailies and reading event stories which grows my backlog of irl activities I planned like getting actual firearms, learning 3D modeling for purpose of 3D printing etc.
Also in the past played but dropped

So yeah, I have bunch to compare GF to. In terms of gameplay GF2 could be comparable to FEH as they have bunch of similarities like being turn-based, having grid and, as you made it sound so hard, move on a grid and attack. FEH gameplay with its FE/AW copied mechanics was peak comfy and its maps that could be cleared within 1-2 minutes was perfect for gachas which are supposed to be something you play in transit or during break as asian salaryman. In any case, it utilized variety I mentioned in previous post well: you had fucktons of characters to use, you could build them in different way using skills, creating synergies, and your enemies also had wide variety of movemnt types, skills, stats etc. Sometimes challenge required you to build team focusing on specific strategies. It went to shit when powercreep started to accelerate and game turned into game revolving around single unit, and newest units being so strong they one-turned challenges before enemies got to do anything, basically taking gameplay out, just like Klukai did. Weapon/color triangle stopped meaning anything with nukes getting out of hand. Stats stopped mattering with inttroduction of flat damage and reductions. Movement types stopped mattering with teleports. Turns stopped playing any role when your units could move 3 times a turn and finish everything on turn 1. They had great system and it took them several years to ruin it.
