Most of the Eastern Industry was dismantled and millions of POW's remained in the Soviet Union until 1955 to fullfill slave labour. The widescale expulsion you are mentioning offhand caused the death of 500.000-2.500.000 Germans depending on the Source, adding to the other 500.000 deaths who died during WW2. Addtionally, most German scientiests and tousands of patents were stolen. Whether you think these were rightful acts of justice or not doesn't matter (and personally, I don't care about these events either, shit happens in war and the Nazis shouldn't have lost if they wanted to avoid that), fact is Germany did not just get a slap on the wrist.
You are also ignoring the very intention of rebuilding Germany: To use these countries as a staging ground for a WW3. In case of escalation, the Germans were the first to be used as cannon fodder to slow down the advance of either side, France also made it their doctrine to eait out until Germany would have invetieably fallen to the Soviets so their rockets (whose range couldn't pass any further away from Germany) could hit major Red Army points.

In an industrial Society people search for a new purpose as the need for survival has mostly been eradicated (even homeless people struggle with obesity).
The most natural choice is the appeal to their ancestry, it's a common behaviour even prevelant in the animal kingdom and is a constance. I admit, the concept of ethnicity and borders are indeed wolly, but they have a basis in reality. Again, take a look at the animal kingdom. Even when minor border realities are often arbitrary and impossible to clearly define, living beings can still feel a connection to it on an objective basis.

Importing a new class of people, many of whom are reliant on social Healthcare without paying back into the system and another portion contributing to a sharp increase of the crime statistics will do that. Altough I do admit, Trump's tariffs have been quite devasting, don't know if the Democrats can ever top that, alrough their lesser severity is more owed to their spinelessness to commit to actual change rather than their competency. But whatever.
