yeah it emulate the slowdown, that's why there's a console overclock setting in the option, which should fix the slowdowns.
I think there's a gpu overclock option too but wtf, I can't find it anymore. Maybe that's just a swanstation option. But just OC the CPU should be enough. Any other reason you're getting slowdowns is you set the runahead frames too high, only 1 or max 2 frames is enough or things can get wierd. Could also but your frametime buffer is set too low.
