Think about it. Every super bowl ad, every god damn insurance commercial which features talking dogs, every god damn retard who has a 200lb dog living with them in an apartment. Dog moms, mans best friend, etc. People would unironically spit on a homeless guy before they kick an aggressive dog attacking someone at a park. Americans sleep with their fucking dogs. They eat with them, let them into grocery stores and restaurants. I’m fucking sick of it.

My theory is that cold war era American propaganda featured dogs in the “nuclear family” to subconsciously tell people living in farms that the suburbs have “just as much land”, hence the featuring of dogs in all cold war era depictions of the nuclear family. It was an attempt to get people to live with less dignity by settling for less, trading in valuable land for shit cookie cutter houses in the suburbs.

Now? Dog anthropomorphism has gotten so far out of hand that people see these animals as holier than humans. If you own a dog FUCK YOU. Americans own more dogs than any other country in the world by a long shot. Your dog doesn’t “love” you the way you think it does, it’s a fucking animal. Dumb fuck.
