The Battlemaster BLR-1L was a Capellan refit of the Battlemaster designed to increase it's performance as a command mech and support unit. To that end, it's PPC, rear facing lasers, machine guns, and 3 heatsinks were removed. In their place was an LRM 20 fed with 2 tons of ammunition, as well as a pair of flamers to ward off infantry. In combat, the 1L would use it's many ammunition bins to hold a variety of specialist munitions based on mission objectives, such as smoke rounds or inferno missiles. Combined with the Battlemaster's specialized sensors and command equipment, made them invaluable force multipliers for the beleaguered CCAF.
