I bought an LR300 (A&K) with the long barrel, I also ordered the short barrel just in case, but I've never needed it, with the stock retracted it's never been an issue. I also have a full length M14, it is long, but I think it's only unwieldy for people under 6'. Longer guns just look cooler anyway.
