In general I have no idea why would anyone buy the smaller one. For me specifically, I want exactly the minis included in the small box - Captain, Heavy Intercessors, Grenade throwing Intercessor, Banner Boi, Plaguecaster and the Jizzthrower. The rest is a bonus. I have no reason to pay 30eur more to get even more minis I don't really want.
As much as I despise GW, they know exactly how to milk normies, newbies and Redditor-tier hobbyists. You, me and the other Anons can do the math and call this box a scam but go check Twatter or Plebbit and see how many of those people have no fucking impulse control nor feel the need to research the box before the purchase. People buy 5 fucking Combat Patrol boxes and only then ask other brainlets if they can paint them as a different Chapter and what kind of army they can build. You may not like it but these people make the bulk of the GW customer base and they are GW's main target.
