Gigabyte mobo was innocent after all. Desperate, I took eraser to RAM contacts and blew half of duster can into the slots. The shit now works better than ever, I could never make it run 3600MHz 16-16-16-36 1.35V XMP on the old board. None of the Gear2 etc stuff is necessary anymore.
The next problem is I can't get any better DDR4 in my shithole so If I want to sell my old PC as a "prebuilt" (much higher chances of being bought) - I would have to order good kit online and wait month+ for it.
