i guess it's because it doesn't fell like i'm playing a monster hunter game, it feels like a typical american AAA game made with mass appeal in mind, the charm, the progression rhythm, the challenge (yes low rank was always easy if you knew how to play but in wilds is downright braindead), lack of content or endgame and the UGLY graphics that honest to goodness made my eyes hurt (i play on ps5 but even a console can run games that look and run miles better on performance), the fact that the game was trying this "ultra realistic" designs over colorful and memorable ones and melodramatic bullshit over a lighthearted small plot was the nail in the coffin, i dropped wilds months ago and the only reason i come back is to see slutresses and read people shitting on it, it legit made me feel ashamed of buying it
