Star Wars fans like Luke killing people, LOTR fans like Aragorn killing people, blah blah, most media has heroes kill enemies, but superheroes got put into this weird place because nerds treated them and their morals as a makeshift religion

And honestly just noting I've been a comic book fan since like 1993, so I'm automatically older and more of a nerd than 90 percent of this board, but the absolute most cringe capeshit fans are the ones who actually look up to super heroes as father figures instead of just enjoying entertaining stories with cool characters.
